autumn tour snapshots

for some reason the autumn tour is always a fun tour for our family... we have quite a few friends along the way that we enjoy catching up with once a year, but since we are packing 17 concerts into 18 days, our "free-time" is quite limited and we enjoy any opportunity with relatives and friends!
::good bye, home sweet home! all pack and ready to head out.::
::on our way to Grandview we crossed "the Narrows" just as the sun was setting and we were singing "Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross"...it felt so sacred. pictures just don't do justice to something so marvellous!::
::the following day we enjoyed some time at our cousins' home...pulling carrots:)::
::the wonderful pastor couple at Hague Gospel Church on Sunday morning::
::Julia, happy for the muffins and fruit to go snacks from the Pastor couple in Hague:) ::
::on the road, Gaither inspiration! ::
::setting up at Martensville Mission Church for the evening service::
:: "He could have had a palace, a diadem...He could have had riches as the Great I Am..." ::
:: enjoying fellowship after the service::
::and as the tour continues we would appreciate your prayers!::

A glimpse into our summer

Seeing we didn't do any posts during the summer we want to give you a glimpse at what kept us busy.
When we came home from our last tour, our flower gardens were covered in weeds. So we all pitched in and it didn't take long till it went from this...

to this...

to this! finally done:)

the homeschool picnic was a wonderful time to catch up with friends.
Here we are doing a water relay.

what fun!

Daddy and Tyrell enjoying the rodeo with friends.

we love our little rodeo town :)

we hadn't been home for mom's birthday for 4 years so it was a real treat.
Tania enjoyed making the cake.

Saturday 26 May 2012

This past week has brought with it alot of changes...good changes that is. After alot of hard work and preperations, Steph got married :) All the people that helped get things ready and took on responsibilities was a real blessing! Thank you all...you know who you are:) to satisfy all your curious minds I'll post a couple pictures!
Some of the groomsmen after rehearsal; all that "practicing" makes us kinda goofy :)

after a short night, Steph and Tania got up *real* early to get ready. And Steph was giddy with excitement all day! It's so precious to see a sister so in love!
all excited to see her man!
the bridesmaids had so much fun together;)

Month in Pictures :)

Returning to Texas we were reunited with Steph, and continued doing sevices in Texas, Oklahoma, and 2 prison sevices in Kansas. What a blessing it is having friends along the way! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality, Steve & Evelyn Miller!
had a wonderful time playing hymns with Patricia, Clarissa, and Winston Miller!

after the service in Yoder, Kansas...
then we headed to Milford, Nebraska for a widows banquet on Saturday
We celebrated Tyrell's 11th birthday in Illinois :)
Tyrell picked Culvers as his special birthday meal place...
enjoyed some "off time" golfing :) lets just say some of the pros stood and laughed at us as we hit the grass innumerable times before we actually got the ball anywhere!
we planned to make cake pops instead of a birthday cake, but being on the road and all, we didn't have everything we needed for it. We ended up making them with pancake mix!
During the next couple weeks we traveled around the country, meeting new friends and seemed to always find someone who knew a friend of ours...conections everywhere! (it's called the mennonite game:) End of April, we had a service in PA...and Steph beign Steph, persuaded dad to drive 7 hours through the night, so she could surprise her fiance at 6:30 in the morning!
We enjoyed getting ready for Steph's last bridal shower with Josh's sisters and mom:) and Tania was especially excited to bake and decorate the cake!
Mom was asked to make some dishes that we had alot during Steph's growing up years. So we decided to make something French, crepes, Russian, portzelky, German, veraneki, and Mexican, beef dip.
Tania, along with Josh's sisters, Gemma and Megan, made 8 fruit pizzas!
Lonita and Brittany helping Steph open he gifts...
we will miss Steph singing with us
the apple skit is always a favorite
Thank you all for praying! It's been a long journey but God's been faithful! Praise the Lord!
